## What it does [#what-it-does]

Durable pre-approval GRANTS for a routine's human\_gate actions (commit/merge/push). `grant` is the ONLY way a human\_gate action becomes satisfiable.

## When to use it [#when-to-use-it]

**Use when:** "approve this routine to commit/merge/push" · "revoke that approval"

**Also use when:** a run is blocked on a human\_gate action

## When not to use it [#when-not-to-use-it]

you are the same session that will consume the grant — self-approval is refused; grant from a different, already-known driver identity instead
