## What it does [#what-it-does]

Drives a real headless Chromium session (Playwright) to one URL, captures a screenshot and (optionally) a CSS-selector DOM assertion, then attaches that evidence to a real Verification Request against a work item (acceptance verification-requests.ts, task 15.23) — the request dispatches through the same acceptance spine the done-gate uses, so the resulting attempt is real, immutable evaluation evidence, never a narrative screenshot description.

## When to use it [#when-to-use-it]

**Use when:** "take a screenshot of this page and record it as evidence" · "prove this UI change actually rendered" · "does this element exist on the page" · "attach browser proof to this work item"

**Also use when:** closing out a UI-touching work item's acceptance with real rendered evidence rather than a claim

## When not to use it [#when-not-to-use-it]

the work item is not currently "building" (requestVerification refuses a non-active target); you only need to READ the page's content, not attach it as verification evidence — use a plain fetch/read instead
