## What it does [#what-it-does]

Hide a finding that is noise, or unhide one. Works on ANY finding including a detector's — changes visibility only, never content — recording who and why.

## When to use it [#when-to-use-it]

**Use when:** "that finding is noise" · "stop showing me this finding" · "bring that finding back"

**Also use when:** triaging a findings list top-down

## When not to use it [#when-not-to-use-it]

the finding is REAL and you want it out of the way — capture it as work instead (strata19.manage\_work\_item action="capture\_finding"); or you want to change fix progress, not visibility
