## When to use it [#when-to-use-it]

**Use when:** "did that background job finish" · "check on that action I started" · "get me the result of the job" — you have a jobId from strata19.start\_action and want to check progress or retrieve results.

**Also use when:** the job has completed and you need the final outcome.

## When not to use it [#when-not-to-use-it]

the jobId is unknown or the job was started in a different process (jobs are process-lifetime only).
