Local data and privacy

Free Local stores its project index, checkpoints, work items, and generated file artifacts on the machine. Deterministic analysis does not require a Strata19 account or source upload.

Model-assisted operations are a separate boundary. When you configure BYOK assistance, the selected provider receives the context required for that operation under your provider relationship. Connected features add a cloud boundary for synchronized project state and managed services; do not describe them as local-only.

Repository files remain subject to your own source-control, backup, and access policies. A local SQLite record or generated Markdown proposal is not encrypted merely because it is local; protect the machine and repository accordingly.
