Specs and Specbook

strata19.get_spec_context retrieves existing requirement text with citations. Specbook generation is different: strata19.spec_generate creates layered Markdown proposals from the local repository, and strata19.spec_sync proposes incremental changes as the code moves.

Generated sections are proposals, not verified truth. Review them in Git. Human-edited sections are not silently overwritten by synchronization.

strata19.spec_view projects the same underlying section through product, engineering, quality, or security viewpoints. strata19.spec_link connects criteria to code or test evidence. That link is what lets a requirement become measurable and later regress when its implementation moves.

Model-assisted generation uses the configured model path; deterministic spec retrieval and file-backed review remain separate from that drafting step.
