Integrations

Codex

Codex is a currently released Strata19 integration. Install it with:

codex plugin marketplace add https://github.com/jordanallen87/praetor.git
codex plugin add strata19@strata19
codex plugin list

The list should show strata19 as installed/enabled. Enable the plugin in Codex Settings if needed, then open your repository and ask Strata19 to initialize or verify it.

Claude Code

Claude Code is the other currently released integration, reading the same plugin manifest format:

claude plugin marketplace add https://github.com/jordanallen87/praetor.git
claude plugin install strata19@strata19

Claude Code shows an install-time preview listing the plugin's hooks; approve it once and no further per-hook step is needed. An enterprise allowManagedHooksOnly policy can still block plugin hooks entirely, with no runtime signal to the hook process when it does — if hooks silently never fire, that policy is worth checking.

Claude Desktop's "Code" tab is Claude Code embedded — it reads the same ~/.claude plugin state as the CLI, so a plugin installed once is available in both with no separate step. Desktop's other two tabs (Chat, Cowork) are a different, no-plugin-manifest situation; see plugins/strata19/docs/OTHER-MCP-HOSTS.md if you need the detail.

Host boundaries

Strata19 has a portable MCP foundation, but host-specific UI, message delivery, approvals, and control features differ by environment and version. A host appears as available only after its installation and capability evidence are ready.

Antigravity

Antigravity uses a host-native plugin layout and a self-verifying installer, not either marketplace command above. The installer copies the packaged bundle, preserves unrelated MCP servers, refreshes the running host, and checks that Antigravity accepted every advertised tool.

git clone https://github.com/jordanallen87/praetor.git
cd praetor
node scripts/strata19/host/install-antigravity-plugin.mjs

If Antigravity was not running during installation, start it and run:

node scripts/strata19/host/install-antigravity-plugin.mjs --verify-only

See the Antigravity setup page for prerequisites and the capability boundary.

OpenCode beta

OpenCode completed a real MCP connection and tool round-trip, but it does not yet have a Strata19 marketplace package or one-command installer. Its opencode.json uses a top-level mcp object and a flat command array rather than the command/args split used by most other hosts.

Follow the OpenCode beta setup page and verify both opencode mcp list and a real Strata19 tool call before relying on project results. OpenCode is tools-only; its TUI does not render the HTML project pane.

Both hosts cache an installed plugin by version — a new commit to this repository, or a locally rebuilt bundle, does not reach an already-installed copy until you reinstall (codex plugin add strata19@strata19 / claude plugin install strata19@strata19) after the version changes. If a tool or the workspace widget doesn't reflect a change you expect, check the installed version before assuming the change didn't ship.

The workspace widget

strata19.open_workspace_view and the inline widget render the Strata19 web app inside your host. It needs the web app running and reachable, STRATA19_WEB_BASE set to its origin, and that origin to be https:// — an https sandboxed iframe cannot frame http://localhost, independent of CSP. For local development, put a tunnel in front of the app rather than pointing STRATA19_WEB_BASE at a bare http://localhost origin. Without STRATA19_WEB_BASE set, deep links fall back to relative paths and the inline widget shows an explained placeholder instead of failing silently.

Host control — not in this version

Host-level control (steering or interrupting a running agent session from outside it) is a resolved, deliberate non-goal for this version of the plugin, not an unfinished feature. The relevant tools exist internally for testability but are not advertised to any host and return an honest, typed decline (capabilityState: "unsupported") rather than a probe result or a fabricated success. See Limits for why.

Other MCP hosts

Other MCP-capable hosts that read a local server configuration (Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code/Copilot Chat, Zed, Gemini CLI, Kiro, Cline, Continue, and more) can plausibly point at the same server. Config templates for each—and whether the host has actually been run end to end rather than just plausibly configured—are in plugins/strata19/docs/OTHER-MCP-HOSTS.md. Read that file's own status banner before trying one. A configuration template is not a tested install path and must not be presented as support.
