What it does
Workspace-shaped context for the CURRENT checkout: project identity, local convergence verdict, bounded lists of specs/work items/findings/decisions (limit, default 50, max 500).
When to use it
Use when: "what's going on in this checkout" · "orient me in this working copy" · "just switched branches, fill me in"
Also use when: the FIRST question about an unfamiliar repo — prefer this over reading the repo yourself
When not to use it
you need the FULL list of one category with no cap — call that store's own tool (e.g. manage_work_item action=list)
