What it does

Preview of a Library ingestion source (one/many project files, a project directory, write/paste, or a conversation capture) before anything is committed: discovered/ready/excluded/blocked/duplicate counts, per-item status and proposed kind, secret/privacy outcomes, and a stable previewDigest the commit call must echo back. Filesystem access is read-only. It creates NO Library artifact and changes no existing one; it records one local, cancellable preview row so the commit call can prove the source bytes did not change. Uploads nothing and calls no model (PF-LIB-012).

When to use it

Use when: "add this file to the library" · "import this folder" · "preview importing these docs"

Also use when: before any library_ingest_commit call — commit requires the previewId and previewDigest this tool returns

When not to use it

you already have body text to save directly — use library_create for a single hand-typed artifact
