strata19.set_mode

What it does

Set the audience mode for this bound project: builder (plain language, ids hidden) or engineer (full technical detail). Persisted in .strata19/state.db, shared with every mode-aware tool.

When to use it

Use when: "keep it in plain language, no jargon" · "switch to builder mode" · "I'm an engineer, use full technical detail"

Also use when: the operator's technical level is evident from how they are asking

When not to use it

you want the current mode without changing it — use strata19.get_mode
