strata19.poll_events

What it does

Cursor-only poll of the durable surface_events log. Returns {latestSequence, changedSubjects} — NEVER payloads, never row bodies. A view that sees its own subject.kind refetches.

When to use it

Use when: "has anything changed since I last looked" · "refresh the panel" · "is there anything new"

Also use when: a widget wants to converge after a notifications/resources/updated push, or as a fallback when the host does not push

When not to use it

the widget needs the event body itself — call the subject-specific tool instead, e.g. strata19.hq_view
