strata19.get_mode
Requires a human surface tool
What it does
Read the current audience mode for this bound project (builder or engineer). Returns the persisted value, or builder as the safe default if strata19.set_mode was never called.
When to use it
Use when: "what mode am I in" · "plain-language mode or full technical detail" · "builder or engineer mode"
Also use when: before composing output for the user, or before suggesting strata19.set_mode so it can name the OTHER mode
When not to use it
you want to CHANGE the mode — use strata19.set_mode
