What it does

Turn a short ask into a structured query the graph can route. A deterministic bypass handles ~80% free; real language falls through to a small model call. Never a verdict or count — only a routing hint.

When to use it

Use when: "which files handle the checkout flow" · "the auth flow" · "files related to payments"

Also use when: a user types a phrase in the natural-language query box

When not to use it

the input is a file path, glob pattern, or single identifier — the bypass path returns instantly, free
